ABOUT THE 3G
THE 3G is a privately owned Norwegian research company, specialising in the mobile sector. THE 3G conducts extensive monitoring of the mobile business field. THE 3G has since its foundation in 2001 built and maintained an elaborate understanding and representation of the field through its comprehensive mobile knowledge database. Our methodology and tools allow efficient, quality production of reports and tailored assistance on a high number of mobile business aspects. To clients THE 3G offers a fully flexible approach, in accordance with needs and preferences of the individual enterprise.
THE 3G’s database has been created to serve as a tool for monitoring and systemizing insight for the mobile business area as a whole. It has been systematically developed over many years and today holds extensive insight on the mobile business area.
THE 3G’s database builds formal representation of mobile knowledge (in contrast to text- & hyperlink-based approaches). Fundamental to this is what THE 3G refers to as knowledge dimensions. THE 3G currently relates to in total 30 mobile knowledge dimensions. Among these dimensions are Mobile business landscape developments, Business forces (drivers and constraints), Mobile visions, Services enablers, Services, Outlook per service, Marketing channels for services, Suppliers of services, Mobile business issues and CSFs. The dimension Services, for instance, comprises identification and insight on the ‘at any time’ 200 most promising mobile service possibilities ahead.
